This is my personal favorite season as the series steered a course towards a much diversified set of X-Files ranging from incest, child molesters, past lives, cancer personified and Eddie Van Blundt.

It was also a very emotional season particularly in the latter half of the season as the effects of Scully's abduction finally revealed itself in the form of cancer. The emotional range of both David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson was unbelieveable. They truly showed that they own the characters of Mulder and Scully in a way that no other actor can possibly emulate.
